the painting of christine kühnen motives: bodies, flowers, maritime aspects. everyday life, depth, banality. rythm, sensuality, stillness. energy, explosivity. production: head up/ down. insight: touch, swing. in remembrance: that which detaches itself from gravity. will, ease, feeling for forms. development: where does the colour want to go? lines, space, material. which expansion fits? the body, the eye follow along the material: arranging, leaping over, going under. the force of brightness as incentive: what remains on the top? what puts itself next to each other? what wants to go down? pulling space, the forces: the mounted canvas as skin in its individual format as membrane, response with its openings for vertical relations, pervious to depth and light. consistency/abstraction: sustance puts itself upon the emptiness of the grounded space. tilts, forms, piles up. a new organic whole must come into existence. while observing: without words, but comprehensible. in anticipation and afterwards: encounter, the sight of the world, statement. the painting: the love for colours, the lines of tension, the traces of movement. c.k., freiburg, 2014-01-01  studios schützenallee 7, d-79102 freiburg |
